I'm a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, Ukraine...tryin' to save the world one Uke at a time, or something like that. Joining Peace Corps was definitely one of the best life-changing experiences I've ever embarked upon. I learned more about myself than I ever thought I would have, I lived in an amazing culture, I learned how to swear in two fantastic languages (Ukrainian and Russian), and I gained some pretty great experience along the way. I can now bathe, cook, flush my toilet, and do my laundry with a mere three liters of water...who knew?
I'm a tough-minded guy, yet wear my heart on my sleeve. I'm quick-witted and sarcastic, but understand there's a time for seriousness, as well. I'm open with my emotions and I'm not afraid to cry at movies or in public and I'm not quick to wipe away the tears. I laugh loudly and often and am the first to find humor in even the most irritating of situations.
I'm an avid reader of books and news and my first 30 minutes awake are spent on Drudge Report, CNN, Pravda and BBC. I have an insatiable desire to want to know what's going on in the world, love to talk of world affairs and have friendly debates about the world's rights and wrongs.
I love traveling and the experiences that coming along with it. I’ve been clubbing in London, showed Pride in Brighton, got my Shakespeare on in Stratford-Upon-Avon, stumbled drunk in Dublin, got lost in Galway, was inspired in Prague, lived in Ukraine for 2.5 years, celebrated New Years in Krakow, staved off my hunger in Hungary, ate lamb in Turkey, tripped through the ruins in Ephesus, island hopped in Greece, got yelled at in Lenin’s tomb in Moscow, ran through the corridors of the Hermitage in St. Petersburg, almost fell of a cliff hiking in Siberia, rode horseback Ghengis Khan-style through Mongolia, lost my sunglasses on the Great Wall of China, repeatedly fell off my surfboard in Hawaii and am living my charmed life in Chicago.
